Thailand Video Production Permit
When filming in Thailand, there are 2 requirements for every person.
• – Visa
• – Work Permit
In order to have these, there are specific requirements that need to be met.
If you are shooting for less than 15 consecutive days, then you are able to come in on an ordinary tourist visa or tourist stamp. If you are shooting for more 15 days total, then you are required to have a Non Immigrant Visa from a Thai Embassy outside of Thailand. For recommended embassies, please contact your production services company. Please note, your work visa IS NOT a work permit. They are 2 completely different things. If you have a work visa, this DOES NOT give you legal work status in The Kingdom of Thailand.
Thailand Work Visa Work Permit
If you are shooting for less than 15 consecutive days, then you will be granted a temporary work permit. When you arrive in Thailand, your production services company will apply for your temporary work permit, and handle the entire process. You are able to obtain the temporary work permit with a normal tourist visa or tourist stamp. If you are shooting for over 15 days, you will need a full “blue book” work permit granted by the labor department. Your local production services company will help to coordinate and arrange this. Both of these work permits will come AFTER the film permit as been granted. If you have any other questions at all about the Work Visas or Work Permits obtained for filming inside Thailand, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
